Frequently Asked Questions

  • Only you can determine if you’re ready for therapy. If you’re struggling and looking for help in regards to your mental health, seeking a therapist is a good start. In our consultation call, I’ll be honest if I believe you’re a good fit to work with me and for therapy in general. I want to ensure you get the help you need, even if it’s not through me.

  • 50-55 minutes for individual and couples therapy sessions. 75-minute sessions for the Men’s Group that meets every Monday at 5 pm.

  • Credit Card, Check, Cash, FSA/HSA

  • Currently, I do not accept any insurance at this time.

  • You can expect to hear from me within 24 hours - I’m very responsive. The best way to get a hold of me is via text message: (916-426-8903)

  • You will receive a call at our scheduled time. We will discuss a bit more about what you’re looking for, determine if I’m a good fit for what you need support with, discuss scheduling, payment, and paperwork.

  • No. I know that I provide my best work in-person, and so all the sessions will be conducted in-person.

  • This means that everything we discuss in our sessions stays between us. There are a few very specific exceptions to that rule that we will go over before we begin.

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please reach out to me at least 24 hours in advance. I have a late-cancel/no-show fee, which is the same amount as the session fee.

  • Currently, I’m a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT). This means that I work under the supervision of an experienced fully licensed therapist (LMFT). I will be an AMFT until I have accrued 3,000 hours of experience and passed all required state exams.

    As an AMFT, I work at the Couples Resource Collective in Sacramento, CA: a local non-profit training facility/organization aimed at providing low cost counseling services to the local community.
